<p class="alert"><strong>What! &#8230;</strong> I can hear you saying. Are you mad? Surely, going to the gym is essential for any serious weight loss program. Yes, you are correct, ongoing physical training, particularly cardiovascular is <strong><em>REALLY</em></strong> important. So let me qualify why I am doing this, because there are a number of good reasons involved.</p>
<p><span id="more-709"></span>
<p><strong>First:</strong> when I go to the gym I find myself concentrating on lifting weights which is not what I need. What I do need cardiovascular training to a high degree first and foremost, and a cross trainer is absolutely ideal for providing that.</p>
<p><strong>Second:</strong> I find going down to the gym can easily take two, or even three hours out of my day and really tire me out. So by investing into a cross trainer which I can use in my own home, I have the luxury of training for as little as just 10 minutes if I have the time to spare and feel like a little additional exercise. Or, and as I plan to do, train for half an hour in the morning, and another half an hour in the evening.</p>
<p>The cost of the cross trainer will be paid for out of my gym subscription in under a year, and at the same time saved me lots of time and helped make me become fitter.</p>
<p>I also live on a beautiful beach, just 100 yards and I&#8217;m walking in the sand. So I plan to use the beach a lot more in the future also.</p>

<h2>Here&#8217;s the really big question I have to ask myself &#8230;</h2>
<p>How do I lose my <em><strong>WEIGHT LOSS</strong></em> focus so easily?</p>
<p><span id="more-704"></span></p>
<p class="alert">I don&#8217;t lose my focus with other important things in my life. Whenever I take my children out I don&#8217;t forget that I have the with me or leave them behind! When I drive my car I never forget to keep watching the road as in looking for potential dangers and hazards, the list goes on. These and 101 other things I have no problem staying focused on.</p>
<p>But when it comes to weight and exercise it is very easy to concentrate on other things. I think in my case it is because I am very comfortable with myself, like myself, and accept myself why I am. This probably means I am firmly rooted in my comfort I need to do something about this.</p>
<p>Anyway, the main thing is I have started, so wish me luck, and is always I just love to hear what you have to sell the subject, so don&#8217;t be afraid to leave a comment below.</p>

<p>This has far less to do with my diet than my life in general. Just occasionally a set of circumstances come together which can make life difficult. This is how it has been for me for the past fortnight, I have hardly had time to draw breath, but now I am through it and starting to focus myself once more.</p>
<p><span id="more-698"></span>
<p>First I was TOTALLY overloaded with some unexpected and very opportune work that was given to me followed by my computer crashing which was far worse because it left me without other than my mini Dell to work on at a time when I was EXCEPTIONALLY BUSY.</p>
<p>When it did return I had to refit it up again which always seems to take at least two days to get everything working as it should again, and all of this coincided with my children starting their summer holidays and my lovely daughter leaving her elementary school ready for high school this autumn term which with leaving parties and services has tested me to the limit and then a bit more. My wife also decided it was time for one of her summer parties which consumed nearly the whole weekend and all of Monday to clean up again.</p>
<p>The strange thing is, I am back to normal and as I write this article I do not have a clue what I should be doing NEXT, apart from focusing myself on health and fitness, but that&#8217;s a good starting point, so armed with my fully functional computer I can restart planning a normal life.</p>

<p>I hate it when this happens, but it is only occasional. First I thought it would take me a day or two to finish, but then it GREW and became obvious that it would take most of the weekend also.</p>
<p>But now it is over and a thing of the past, UNTIL, the next time it happens. As for my diet, it held up! In fact I was just to busy to be bad, the only thing I didn&#8217;t get was the exercise I had planned to step up to.</p>
<p>The other reason I wanted to get finished by today is that it si my birthday and I wanted to relax a little and then double me efforts again tomorrow. <strong>I am 53 year young today!</strong></p>

DO you know the scenario I am talking about where you have to eat anything however unhealthy it is just to satisfy your hunger? &#8230;you just gobble it down as quickly as you can to satisfy your need. Its a really stupid situation which can be totally avoided.</p>

<p>Well this won&#8217;t happen this week because I have done my own food shopping and have a cooler full of healthy food which I can graze upon throughout the day.</p>
<p>Also I am going to be walking throughout the day and in between tasks. Three of four times I hope to break up what I am doing. Now If I stay focused this will have all round benefits for me diet, fitness and work effectiveness.</p>
